Project Tinsmith is an effort to tell the history of tinsmithing through the tools, the techniques, and the lives of individual tinsmiths of the past. It will do so by presenting that history in the form of a digital archive, a magazine, and other digital media.
Directing this project is Dr. Karl J. Schmidt, a retired academic historian, full-time historical tinsmith, and owner of Dakota Tinworks.
By becoming a member of Project Tinsmith, you'll be able to access all of the online materials: historical images, historical documents, and other resources. Best of all, a full membership is only a one-time payment of $12.50.
